Educating our future

Get your whole school involved with fundraising ideas and resources

Schools Education and Fundraising

We are dedicated to connecting with schools across the nation and understand how much value schools get from working with us.

Walking With The Wounded offer a range of learning resources and free events to schools, youth groups and education providers to teach, inspire and motivate our fundraisers of the future.

Through our services we promote physical activity for mental well-being and resilience. This message applies to young people from all walks of life, equipping them to deal with life’s challenges.

We are always looking for new ways to engage and collaborate and we would love to hear more from you if you have any further resources or initiatives to develop our programme further.

2024 Poetry Competition

The 06 June 2024 commemorates the 80th anniversary of D-Day. This June, we are organising a nationwide poetry competition involving Key Stages One through to Four.

Each group have been allocated a theme:

  • Key Stage One - Bravery
  • Key Stage Two - Home
  • Key Stage Three - Resilience
  • Key Stage Four - Memory

Poems will be judged by our guest panel and one winner will be selected from each Key Stage to receive a personal voucher of £25.00, with the winning school being awarded a voucher of £50.00 to spend as they wish.

Additionally, we will announce an overall winner whose school will receive a Mental Well-being and Resilience workshop from one of our charity ambassadors, a value of £2,000.

Our poetry competition is free to enter. We firmly believe in inclusivity and with the support of our campaign partners Commando Joe's, we are launching this initiative with the goal of engaging with as many young individuals as possible.
