Because although it's free to sign up, it requires a bit more commitment, a bit more organisation and a bit more oomph to line up a few friends, ask for donations and step outside your door when it is wet and wild outside and you have a list of jobs to do before Christmas longer than your legs. Walking With The Wounded (‘WWTW’) CEO, Edward Parker and a team of veterans are getting ready to set off on a 122 mile trek (almost the equivalent of 5 marathons) from the WWTW North East Hub in Gateshead Civic Centre to the North West Hub based in Canada Street, Manchester.
